I also attended this wonderful conference as a presenter in the poster session and also to learn more about consciousness and non duality. I am experiencing advaita vedanta, knowing that we all have this divine spark within, waiting to be awakened. I survived the physcial loss of my son because of a kundalini awakening. I continue to have mystical experiences and spiritual healing. I embraced the unknown and opened my mind and heart, following this inner guidance with the grace of God.

Robert Walace says in the very first para: "Originating with Shankara and others around 800AD, Advaita’s..."

Sorry, Sir.

The chronology is factually wrong. Advaita did not originate with Shankara!

And the rest of the article on explaining advaita also seems equally to miss the real message of "Oneness" of advaita, the real taste and flavor.

The write up sounds more like an attempt to present the inexplicable non-concept of non-dualism to the market needs.

Non-dualism is an uncompromising disappearance of even traces of 'me' and 'mine'and not shoehorning it to fit into transactional world. The world just goes on ... and on.... without 'doer-doing-done' (triputi). At this stage difficult to say in words what it is like or how it goes on, for there is none, No Two to speak, because even speech becomes the other!

I was there too, and had a great time. I was a bit baffled by some of it, and didn't uniformly like all of the speakers, but the best of them were great, and it was a very eye-opening event. I hope to be there next year if there is one.
